PARENT LETTER
August 26, 2020
DEAR PARENTS/GUARDIANS,
My name is Ms. Naseer, and I will be your child’s 8th grade US History teacher. As you know, in order to ensure the safety and well-being of your child during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will begin the year with distance learning. While I will not see your student in the classroom, I still look forward to working with your child online and guiding them through American history.
To start off , I would like to quickly introduce myself. I was born and raised in nearby Woodland, CA. I went to college at UC Davis, and majored in Political Science with an emphasis in American Government. I also earned my teacher credential through UC Davis. Though this will be my first year as a full-time teacher, I have plenty of experience in education as a substitute teacher, paraeducator and as a volunteer writing tutor. I am thrilled to be joining Winters Middle School!
I believe in order to ensure a successful academic year for your child, parent/guardian involvement is essential. During these unprecedented times, collaboration between the teacher, student and parent/guardian has become even more important. Thus, I would like to work closely with you to ensure your child’s success. Please feel free to contact me through the school or at mnaseer@wintersjusd.org with any questions, comments or concerns. In addition to email, you may contact me through my website https://mnaseer7.wixsite.com/ushistory and at (530) 316-4727.
Once again, I look forward to working with your student at Winters Middle School throughout their 8th grade year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Naseer
